In3 Internship / Apprenticeship Program – now hiring

Learn while working as a remote intern/apprentice at In3 Capital Group

Announcement Date:  1 July 2022

Start Date:  On or after 1 August 2022, for the Summer/Fall season; to be discussed.

Internship Duration:  2-3 months, minimum.

Open Positions:  We are currently accepting applications for either of two positions:

Position 1) Business Development Intern — Work directly with senior executives to use available resources and subscriptions to research and update contact records, adding them to an existing Zoho CRM subscription, for a growing book of opportunities in impact finance globally.

May also be involved with implementing a new automated “onboarding” (to pre-qualify incoming leads), with a beta version at www.in3finance.com/apply (subject to change) using WordPress Formidable Forms.

Position 2) Info Tech / Marketing / Media / Operations — in support of In3’s sales and marketing operations team, work on a set of diverse projects (will tailor to the hired candidate) to improve incoming lead generation and screening systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and a series of short, educational “on demand” videos, … or other areas as mutually agreed. On the operations side, get familiar with Nextiva’s simple CRM (see nextiva.com) to assist with ongoing tests and expanded use.

Either position can leverage and apply data analytics, customer service, business logic and digital skills (HTML or application configuration), if candidate brings any/all of these skills.

Candidates with presentation skills or audio/video aptitude may be invited to participate in developing a library of short educational videos.

About this internship / apprenticeship — working with In3 Capital Partners

Working with In3, you will collaborate and assist world-class entrepreneurs and executives in the process of bringing forth game-changing “impact” projects, startups and innovations. You will learn important general and domain-specific skills for “making a difference,” building powerful leadership skills, living with integrity and furthering your career. You will step ahead of the marketplace, slightly, and join a community of practice of thought leadership but also practical engagement with solving some of the more compelling issues of our times, including mitigation climate change, food/energy/water security and many others.  Along the way, you may develop a personal manifesto—a clear roadmap of what you will be doing with your career in years to come. You will get to design your future during this program, as you learn to be even more dynamic, powerful, and entrepreneurial.

You can join and leave the program at any time with a minimum of 2-3 months commitment. This internship is designed as an educational platform and skill accelerator.  Those who demonstrate their ability to get results will be invited to continue, or may be part of an ever-expanding base of diverse professionals that service In3 clients as independent contractors.

This program is open to students or graduates of all backgrounds, though the more “advanced” the better.  There will be no shortage of real world challenges working in this sector (private capital, financial services, business/entrepreneurship) as many of these industries are experiencing unprecedented demand and growth, with innovation across the board — from fintech to agtech to cleantech, for “triple bottom line” results.

In3 uses a proven program for funding “impact” projects that is possibly unique in the marketplace, and certainly at the forefront of innovation, helping to build a sustainable future.

These and other changes (the post-COVID “new abnormal”, carbon credits, supply chain disruptions, inflation/deflation and more) require that we reinvent ourselves, constantly learn and improve, and bring our “A game” every day.  But it also provides vast opportunities for those with the agility, drive and focus to discern what matters from all the superficial hype and noise.

Disciplines include any of the following, or in combination, as finance is inherently multidisciplinary, so we expect some degree of “creative fit” to your unique strengths.  All of these disciplines have their place in this important work:

  • Finance and Accounting (financial management. Impact investment, loan origination, private equities, fundraising, financial modeling, valuations)
  • Business Operations (business management, sales, marketing, business development, negotiations, event management, people management, scheduling, leadership training)
  • Applied Engineering, Owner’s Engineering, Software Systems Architecture (AI and web programming, user interface / customer experience, writing specifications, analytics)
  • Media, Design, Marketing and Story Telling (photography, film making, writing, video editing, illustrations, game design, and graphics)
  • Mentoring & Coaching / Teaching & Training (learning to help others at work or as part of teamwork or in your community with their moods, ambitions, breakdown, habits, and life)
  • General / Business Administration (if you have not decided on a particular discipline, you can join the program in the Open Interest track. You will work and learn across disciplines.)

Ideal Intern Character Traits:  If you thrive on new experiences, are very effective at both written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, have energy and drive, don’t give up easily, self-directed (attempt to find solutions on your own before asking for help), and see a future where business plays an important role as part of how we will build a sustainable world, then this program is for you!

*At this time, all internships are conducted via 1:1 and group meetings by Zoom. However, exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis. To qualify for this program, you must have an open mind and a willingness to learn.

*There is no cost and there is no fee. We do not discriminate based on age, sex, religion, race, or immigration status.
