In³ is an investment and business development firm specializing in "food-friendly biorenewables" -- use of agricultural crops or biomass for industrial and/or health-related purposes.

We work primarily with experienced management teams commercializing biorenewable technologies (early stage ventures) or established companies wanting to "go green," integrate sustainability principles, or diversify. Our role varies widely depending on the situation and industry focus, but we generally do not get involved in seed stage transactions. We have facilitated private debt finance, private equity placements, assisted with deal syndication, helped manage business planning projects, guided decisions about investment strategy, structured technology licensing agreements, brokered the sale of an established business, and more.

We often provide structured learning experiences ("educational opportunities") for C-level executives to lead culture change, identify and implement sustainability best practices, sustainability performance management, or to capitalize on green brand development, product certification, sustainability planning and reporting, business intelligence, competitive, financial and market analysis. Then we break for lunch.

We sometimes take a minority equity position in companies that share our values and priorities. Our full range of services include venture development (from vision to strategy to capital campaign), bioplastics industry and biorenewable technology market trends research and analysis, joint venture and investment partnerships.
